AutoVirt copy policies allow IT organizations to schedule non-stop copies. Copy policies can be configured to log and skip all exceptions, for IT to review manually.
Upon installation, AutoVirt creates a complete map of the file servers within the storage environment. To create a copy policy, source and destination targets are selected from the file server map using point-and-click. A copy policy may have many sources, and a source may be a complete file server, a volume, or any subset down to a single leaf-level share. The destination is simply a volume.
Scheduling. A copy policy can be scheduled to run during a distinct, daily period until the job is complete. It can also be set to begin immediately and run until complete
Filtering. To limit the files affected by the copy policy, IT can filter by create/modified date, file size, or file type.
