AutoVirt Swapout Program
StorageX and VFM are Being Phased Out
On May 1, 2009, Brocade initiated the End-Of-Life (EOL) process for its StorageX, File Lifecycle Manager (FLM), MyView and File Management Engine (FME) products, as well as resold products from NetApp, IBM, and StorageX. These products will no longer be sold as of November 2009, with annual maintenance costs increasing 10% each year until all support is discontinued in 2012.

AutoVirt’s StorageX Swap-Out Program

AutoVirt has created a solution for StorageX, FME, FLM and MyView customers whose existing products are being phased out. Up until June 30, 2010, customers on active maintenance with Brocade or its resellers for StorageX or VFM can receive:
  • A 50% discount off perpetual software licenses of AutoVirt
  • One year of AutoVirt support at no cost
  • Subsidized implementation assistance (if needed)

In most cases, this program means that the full cost of transitioning to AutoVirt will be less expensive than your existing maintenance costs for StorageX.

“AutoVirt’s file virtualization solution - featuring data migration as its first 'killer app' - will provide  IT managers at mid-range sites with an excellent tool for reducing infrastructure complexity, increasing operational efficiency, and controlling escalating costs.”
