I would suggest that any mid-size organization wanting an affordable and easy-to-use virtualization solution that allows them to fully access and manage their file data without limitation, should take a look at the AutoVirt solution.

AutoVirt rescued my project! I started out using Brocade StorageX, but the product did not perform as advertised. Then it was suddenly discontinued. AutoVirt got me back up and running in no time, and the transition was quick and painless.
With about 50 TB of data spread over nine sites, my organization needs to move data all of the time. I have primarily used Robocopy for this purpose and have found a much better product in AutoVirt. AutoVirt’s robust logging, intuitive scripting, and ability to recognize root file systems makes this job a lot easier. We are now looking to add five additional EMC Celerras to remote sites. Since AutoVirt is licensed by domain, I don’t have to purchase additional licenses to complete this move – and I can do it a whole lot faster.
I have been looking at doing some file server replacements and consolidations recently for one of my clients and I have been delaying them for quite some time just because of the sheer volume of the different server, shares, and especially the security lists, that I would have to set up on the new server. With AutoVirt, I was able to set the source and destination servers very easily and it took care of everything for me, even creating the shares on the new server with the appropriate permissions! What would have taken me 2 days, I was able to complete in less than 1 day with very little of my time actually needed to finish the project.
AutoVirt is a great application for those who are looking to do file server moves from old hardware onto newer systems or technologies, especially when you are moving to something like a SAN and a virtual platform. It does a very nice job bringing all of your file servers together and taking care of all the security settings and shares.
Over the last few years, file virtualization has become synonymous with enterprise-class file data management and cost control. The mid-range market offers a great opportunity for solutions providers, such as AutoVirt, that can provide the same benefits, with less complexity, and at a much lower price.

Virtualization technology can offer a number of benefits to organizations of all sizes. Like any other area of information technology, the appropriate selection of the proper tools can make a big difference to the success an organization experiences. File virtualization, such as AutoVirt's technology, can make life much easier for IT administrators. Technology of this type can improve the level of storage utilization an organization experiences, make data migration from one generation of storage device to another simple, and allow organizations to fully access their application and data files.
Data migration for mid-range IT shops is typically a disruptive and time consuming manual process. Solutions such as AutoVirt, which allow data migration tasks to take place without downtime and without the need to reconfigure applications and client systems, will likely be met with deep gratitude from these customers.
Manual data migrations are error prone and time consuming, but a necessary evil as windows file servers run out of space, technology is refreshed, or environments develop hot spots.
Solutions such as AutoVirt, that allow users to automate the process and migrate data based on set policies, reduce the risk and manpower associated with performing migrations. Because the solution is completely out of band and migrations are performed as a background task, migrations happen faster and users see virtually no performance impact.
After 50 years of advancements in commercial IT, why is it that year after year we still are talking about the same tactical challenges? Data migration is still a huge problem that everyone has to contend with – an issue exacerbated by exponential data growth. It is astounding to me that so few focus on solving this real-world problem. Hat’s off to AutoVirt, who is doing just that. Out of the gate, the AutoVirt solution will help IT managers to overcome one of their greatest pain-points – Windows data migration.
AutoVirt’s file virtualization solution - featuring data migration as its first 'killer app' - will provide IT managers at mid-range sites with an excellent tool for reducing infrastructure complexity, increasing operational efficiency, and controlling escalating costs.
High-end file virtualization providers have nurtured the market – moving from the early adopters into the mainstream enterprise with demonstrable value, especially in file. Unfortunately, many of these products are too expensive or complicated for smaller to mid size organizations. AutoVirt is delivering an easy to manage, highly scalable solution that provides the value at an affordable cost
For mid-range IT shops, data migration is typically completed manually, offline, at night and on weekends, and can be highly vulnerable to human error. Until now, there hasn't been a practical solution available at an affordable entry point. Thus, Autovirt's solution will offer welcomed relief.
The AutoVirt solution will help mid-range IT Managers to tackle one of their most prevalent and persistent datacenter challenges – Windows data migration.
It amazes me that even in this day and age, file data is often kept statically in a file server even if migrating that data to another file server would be beneficial from a performance, cost and management perspective. The simple reason for this is that file migration is still a painful, disruptive and often a manual process. AutoVirt makes the challenges being faced around transparent Windows file migration a thing of the past.
The digital universe is exploding. In fact, it is expected to grow to well over 1,000 exabytes within the next three-to-four years. With the majority of this growth coming from unstructured file data, it should come as no surprise that we are seeing an epidemic of over-provisioning of resources as IT management executives struggle to maintain control – resulting in huge capital and operational expenses to the organization. AutoVirt's AutoMap will help IT Managers alleviate this pain by identifying challenged resources, thus allowing them to reallocate their data across all available storage assets.
With AutoVirt I can complete a virtual server migration for my company – consolidating 50 physical servers onto four ESXi servers – all with automated policies and without maintenance windows. This saves my company from purchasing additional hardware, and it saves me countless hours migrating the data manually.AutoVirt is a must-try –there is no product out there that comes close.
